General location is the gate across the road adjacent to the corners of Hoover Road and Allumba Street. Here is a more detailed map of the location showing Off-Lead area, Car Parking area - caution, keep well away from Archery Range location.
Note : Map provided by Honey on behalf of Beagle navigating Services Pty Ltd
Please Note: There are taps but only small water bowls, so please ask your slaves to bring some fresh water and bowls. Also because this is a public off - lead area we will have to be mindful that others may wish to use the park and clean up with ourselves - so please bring poo bags.
Event description : Aenghus's mum has kindly agreed to hold a training session for Beagles and slaves who would like to participate . If you think you are interested in participating in the training please RSVP by 30 September, to let me know the level you think you are at so that she has some idea of numbers and the level at which training should be directed.
Of course, all other beagles and wannabes are welcome to come and play - as you can see from the aerial view map the park is huge so it will be possible to use the area for both training and playing.
Slaves are invited to bring chairs (and tables if they want) and afternoon tea to share with other slaves and of course members (beagles and wannabes) so that can chill out and watch proceedings in comfort). There is plenty of shade to sit under if it is a hot day.
This even is suitable for older members and puppies, and slaves with children and babies.
Hope to hear from participants soon.
Theo
Hi all,
It is again time to instruct your slaves to take you out to meet their friends.
The time : 10:30am Sunday 6 September
The meeting place : the car park at the oval on Dunstan St off McColloch St in Curtin. (just off Cotter Rd )
This is a relatively flat walk, with very few roads to cross.
I hope to see you all there

Hi there fellow ground sniffers,
Our next walk will be held next Sunday 2 August - This is a walk that was suggested by our friend Bud quite some time ago (thank you Bud), and will be held at Yarramundi Reach. We will meet at the picnic area/ toilet block area on Barrenjoey Drive, off Lady Denman Drive. See maps below.
or
http://www.whereis.com/act/canberra/barrenjoey-dr?id=8ECBABD21CB761&intref=emailmap
Marcie and Frankie will lead the walk and will depart from the meeting area at 10.30 am. We have tested the walk and there are safe "off lead" areas and we will not be crossing any roads or bike parks. The walk is very flat but not suitable for strollers.
Some of our older members will recall my escapades last time we visited time area. I have promised my slaves that I will NOT give a repeat performance.
Hope to see you all there.
Theo
Hello there fellow groundsniffers,
Nova and Camry have suggested a great walk around Weston Creek for our next meet, which is suitable for all those slaves with strollers to push. The walk is paved, flat and there are no roads to cross. I helped Camry and Nova test the walk recently, and found plenty of places suitable for Beagles to play off lead.
The walk will be held Sunday 7 June and we will meet behind the Weston Creek Community Centre at 1.30 pm.
See map attached - it is OK for your slaves to park in either of the car parks at Coolemon Court, as the walkway is accessible from either side. ( ie from Mahony Ct - near MacDonalds or Whitney Pl). There is also extra Parking at the Uniting Church and Irish Club (which is a little further up the road.

The walk will take about an hour and a half, which includes time for us to play on the various ovals.
Hope to see you there.

Hi there fellow ground sniffers,
The next Beagle Walk will be hosted by Dusty and Jemimma.
The meeting place is on Bindubi St at the locked gate 10am on Sunday 3 May. See the link below for a map of the area.
Instructions for how to get there are as follows:
If you are coming from Glenlock Interchange, turn right into Bindubi St, up the hill and it is on your right side. There is grassy area under some gum trees that people park under. It is the meeting place for Orienteering or Friends of Aranda Bushland. If you are driving from Jamieson to Civic via Glenloch Interchange, then the parking area will be on your left. Dust and Jemimma will be standing with two slaves.
The walk will be about about an hour in Aranda Bushland , on dirt tracks and will include some hills. It is not suitable for pram access so those slaves with children who are not yet walking will need to carry them (sling / backpack). Alternatively they could do a different walk on the bike path to Lake Burley Griffin.
There are no toilets or water so it is BYO water. Our house is about 3 mins walk so facilities are available there if needed.

Woof Woof ....
The next walk will be a morning walk around Fadden Hills. This is my favourite walk, as I patrol it regularly with my Dad.
The walk will commence at 10 am on Sunday 4th January . Please meet at the pond ( Lake Theo ) on Bugden Ave (it is near Nicklin Cres). Look for the pond and the children's' playground. Parking can be an issue, but there is plenty of parking on Nicklin Crescent, and at the rear of the tennis courts opposite the playground (be careful crossing the road) . See map. PLEASE NOTE : THIS IS NOT FADDEN PINES. The walk will take a little over an hour, plus there will be a short stop for drinks behind my place. For those feeling energetic we could also have an altenate route up to the top of the hill (Mt Theodore) to see the view (and then rejoin the others at the drinks table).
Please note there are no public toilets at the park.

Calling all Beagles (& Friends)!
November Beagle Walk is this weekend. Please meet at 10.30am Sunday 2nd November at 20 Bandulla St, Isabella Plains.
Bobby and Ginja (plus Jamie and Amy) have very kindly offered to host the walk, starting in their backyard in Isabella Plains.
If all the beagles want to meet at 10.30 at our house (20 Bandulla St, Isabella Plains) for a play and then a walk to Isabella Ponds where we can all swim and run around - off lead even ;) The walk is bout an hour in total.
Our slaves are providing morning tea (so we can play while they eat)- we are getting them to make scones. We tried to make scones but our stupid paws weren't very good for mixing - plus we ate everything before it was cooked ;) - but i reckon if we do our best cute beagle beg then we might get some.
Cheers Bobbi and Ginja
See the link below for the location of Bobby and Ginja's place: http://www.whereis.com/act/isabella-plains/20-bandulla-st?id=3B9B1D89A74FC2
Hope to see you there!

REMEMBER: Daylight Savings starts at 2am on Sunday morning (clocks move forward 1 hour). So be there at 11am
daylight savings time (don't be an hour late!)
The plan is to meet at 11am at the big car park on Mortimer Lewis Drive, Greenway (see the links below
for maps that shows the car park). We will attempt to do a short loop around the lake heading east.
There are a couple of good play areas on the way, and you might want to bring water for your Beagle.

Don't forget to adjust your clock for daylight savings before the walk. Lot's more light for our slaves to take us for walks in the evening!
PS Congratulations to Ivan and family who have re-homed another Beagle. (Barkley who is Barney's new best friend).
Hope to see you there!
Cheers Theo
Hi all Beagles & Friends,
Get ready for our next Beagle Walk! 11am this Sunday 7th September at Forde in Gungahlin.
We will meet at the new dog park on Amy Ackman Street in Forde at 11am (see link below for map).
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=amy+ackman+st+forde&sll=-35.391018,149.117464&sspn=0.005117,0.011373&ie=UTF8&ll=-35.17023,149.141099&spn=0.010261,0.022745&z=16
After a play at the enclosed park we will go for a walk (not sure where yet, maybe one of the locals can suggest a route?) and then
finish back at the park at the end of the walk.
Please note that the park is quite small, so we will have to be careful that we don't overwhelm other visitors with Boisterous Beagles!
If it is really crowded we might have to time share.
See you this Sunday at 11am!
Cheers,
Theo
Greetings Beagles!
It's August Beagle Walk time!
This month the walk will again be on Saturday (yes this Saturday!) August 2nd at 11am, we will be meeting near Campbell High School (behind the War Memorial).
(We will be having it on Saturday so as to not clash with the RSPCA dog olympics on Sunday).
There is a car park behind the high school (Treloar crescent) or just look for us in the reserve directly behind the war memorial.
Hope to see you there! (on Saturday)
Kind Regards,
Theo
Morning Beagles!
Calling all Beagles and Friends,
Hi All Beagles,
The Million Paws Walk is on for 2008, next Sunday 18th May, entertainment and registration commences at 9.00 at Stage 88 in Commonwealth Park and the walk itself starts at 11am.
Unfortunately the on-line registration has now closed, but don't despair you can get there (Stage 88) early and register on the day!
We thought it would be great to all meet before the walk say by 10.30am (at the latest) on the grass on the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin, directly
in front of the Captain Cook Jet. The massed Beagles & friends always make a great impression and we always get new recruits every year.
You can also check the web-site at http://www.millionpawswalk.com/event-info/locations/act/
PS Don't forget to wear your Beagle Club T-Shirt if you have one!
Hope to see you there,
Theo
